Our church

Core Values

1. Worshipping God – (Rom. 15:5-6; Eph. 1:12; John 4:24)

The purpose of the church is to worship and glorify God. We were created to know, love, serve, and ascribe to Him the supreme worth to which he alone is worthy.

2. Growing Spiritually – (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:5-8, 3:18; Eph. 4:15)

The goal of each member of the church is to grow up spiritually in the grace and knowledge of God and become mature functioning members of the body of Christ.

3. Loving One Another – (John 13:34-35; 1 John 3:16; Rom. 13:8)

Upon being accepted into God’s family through salvation, Christians are called to sacrificially love one another as Christ has first loved us.

Statement of Faith

The Bible
We believe the entire Bible, both Old and New is the only inspired word of God, sufficient and authoritative for all matters of faith, life, and godliness (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20; Psalm 19:7).

God the Father
We believe there is only one God. God is one essence eternally existing in three distinct persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is equal in honor, glory, and power and is worthy of the same worship (Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Corinthians 8:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).

Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is fully man and fully God, lived a perfect life and died a substitutionary death on the cross for the sins of the world, was buried and after three days rose from the dead, conquering death, and is now seated at the right hand of God (John 1:1-2; Philippians 2:6-7; Hebrews 4:15; Is.53:5-6; 1 Corinthians 15:16-20).

God the Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is coequal with God the Father and God the Son. We believe every believer is indwelt by the Holy Spirit at conversion and is empowered to walk according to the instruction of the Scripture. The possession of the Holy Spirit is the believer’s guarantee of their redemption (1 Corinthians 12:4-6; John 3:3-8; Acts 1:8; Ephesians 1:14).

People
We believe all men are sinners, have fallen short of the glory of God, and are in need of salvation from sin – its power, penalty, and presence. People are born into the world relationally separated from God with no ability in themselves to be accepted by God (Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:2; Mark 10:18; Matthew 5:48).

Salvation
We believe that salvation is entirely by the grace of God. A person can make no contribution to his salvation. Those who repent of their sin and put their faith in Jesus Christ as their personal savior are declared righteous before God. Here God’s Spirit also indwells the individual causing him to be born-again. From here the believer begins a life of transformation into the image of God (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 5:8-9; Titus 3:5; 2 Corinthians 5:17).

The Church
We believe the church is comprised universally of all true believers from Pentecost to the Rapture. The church is a local body of believers who gather together as God’s redeemed people to practice its biblical purpose to worship, grow spiritually, and evangelize the lost (Matthew 16:18; John 1:12-13; Ephesians 2:19-21; Rev. 4:10-11; 2 Timothy 2:2; Matthew 28:19-20).

End Times
We believe in the end God will make everything new. All believers from all time will worship and enjoy dwelling with God forever in an eternal state called the New Heaven and the New Earth. Before that day all people will be physically resurrected, the saved to blessing and reward, and unsaved to retribution and punishment. The Father has appointed Jesus to be the judge of the world. Before the day of judgment, there will be a terrible time of tribulation on the planet which will occur during the last seven years of the world’s existence (Revelation 21-22; 2 Corinthians 4:14; Revelation 20:13-15; Dan 12:2; John 5:22; Revelation 6-19).
